Plot synopsis
During the war years Uzbekistan, like many other southern and eastern republics of the USSR, offered shelter to tens and hundreds of thousands of refugees, took care of many orphaned children. The movie tells the true story of real wartime heroes, the blacksmith Shoakhmed Shomahmudov and his wife, who adopted and brought up fourteen "evacuated" orphans of different nationalities. Children of different nationalities became members of the same Uzbek family...
