Plot synopsis

In the summer of 2007 a group of four volcanists landed in Medvejya bay on the island Iturup of Big Kuril Ridge. For an object they had to analyze the abundance of rhenium in gases and fumarole formations of the Kudriaviy volcano — the hottest volcano on our planet. The volcanists will have to spend on the island a piece of their lives that will last for more than two months. far from sultry cities, smell of burning, dust, din and everlasting bustle. It’s been 7515 years since the world’s creation according to the Orthodox calendar, but it seems that nothing has ever changed on Iturup since then....
