The board and members of the association Les Amis du Festival du Cinéma Russe à Honfleur, meeting on 28 February 2022, have unanimously decided to suspend the organisation of the Russian Film Festival planned for November in Honfleur. In the current situation, the Association cannot envisage organising a cultural event with Russia.

The Russian Film Festival has been held in Honfleur since 1995 and was preceded by two Russian Film Festivals in Saint-Raphaël, one in 1993 and the other in 1994. The programmes of these two festivals have not been preserved.
In 2020 the festival did not take place because of the covid.
