Plot synopsis

The prototype of the hero of this short story is the Soviet Chekist Nikolai Gueft.
The film is based on archives, testimonies and also on the eponymous new documentary by Viktor Mikhailov.
At the end of 1943 arrived at the ship repair yard in Odessa occupied a new specialist, Kraft, who quickly became the chief engineer. We understand that under the mask of a German engineer devoted to his work hides a Soviet spy who awaits the arrival of Soviet troops.
At the decisive moment, when the victorious attack by Soviet troops forced the German and Romanian occupiers to leave Odessa, the Kraft Center decided to leave with them to continue its work behind the enemy.
