After a conflict with his young director, actor Yuri leaves the theater, taking with him the jester costume of his character in King Lear. The character played on stage becomes part of Yuri's real-life play. His mother, once a great actress, drinks; his wife gives him the cold shoulder; and the passengers of his taxi, participate in the action.
