The main character of the movie is a journalist. She comes to Moscow and finds herself a job in a daily newspaper. Within a short time she becomes one of the leading interviewers. Her personal life goes pretty well too. There is just one peculiarity that frightens her: her every article becomes the last for her interlocutor. Those around her tend to attribute it to mystical causes; some are envious, some are happy for the girl, others seek her attention. She faces the choice - love, fame, career or escape home.
