Plot synopsis
Slava Kolotilov, an ordinary school teacher from a small Russian seaside town Palchiki (Fingers) who came to conquer Moscow with only a manuscript of his novel, managed to win the heart of a beautiful girl Nadya. The wedding day is approaching, the restaurant is ordered and all guest invitations have been delivered. But he cannot escape the force major events, cooked up by strong Fingers. Unable to break loose from Fingers, Slava starts to call Nadya over the phone and tell her tall stories about terrible accidents and catastrophes which prevent him to be in time for the ceremony. But the wedding party in a far away Moscow is already in full swing without a fiance. The bride tries to kick off her former admirer Danya who is ready for any trick to return her.
