Playwright, director.
Born in 1977 in Verkhnyaya Salda, Sverdlovsk Region.
Graduated from the Yekaterinburg Theatre Institute, where he studied with Nikolai Kolyada.
Author of 18 plays, winner of international literary and theatrical awards, including the London Evening Standard Theatre Award (2002), Debut-2000, and the Anti-Booker Prize 2000.
His full-length debut film "Wolfy" has won the main prize at Kinotavr in 2009, as well as the Grigori Gorin Prize for Best Script (Vasili Sigarev) and the award for Best Actress (Yana Troyanova); the film successfully participated in many international film festivals.
