Plot synopsis
A historico-biographic film about admiral Ushakov, the great Russian naval commander, founder of the Black Sea fleet, big patriot and outstanding military organizer. Count Potemkin, favorite of empress Ekaterina II, entrusted ships construction to young Ushakov. In spite of plague epidemic and raging fires the Black Sea fleet was created in the shortest time. Ushakov became national hero, who destroyed the Turkish fleet. But intriguants managed to bias Ekaterina against him. (Continuation is the film «The Men-of-War Storm Bastions»).
