Moscow, 1993. The action unfolds around several characters who are trying to find out under what circumstances the famous director died, leaving behind an unfinished film "Boris Godunov". At the same time, dramatic events of October burst into their lives, as well as into the destinies of citizens of the whole country, catching the characters at the Ostankino television center.
