Plot synopsis
The hero of the film is water in its most amazing forms. "Seven years ago, I made a film that opened the Venice Film Festival: Vive les Antipodes. There is a passage on Baikal where a little girl says, "In the next life I would like to be water - pure like the water of Baikal." When I had the opportunity to make a film on water, I understood that I had to start with Baikal. I came, I installed my camera in the same place and I prepared to shoot. It was indeed magnificent. I have been around the world four times, I have seen everything, but nothing could be compared to Baikal. Ice in winter is more than a meter thick, but it is transparent - as if you were walking on glass. I wanted to film it, and suddenly in front of the camera a tragedy happened: a car with people on board sank under the ice."
