Son of People's Artist of the USSR Stepan Kevorkov.
He worked as an assistant projectionist at the Armenfilm film studio, as an assistant director at Armenian television, as a worker and laboratory assistant at the Research Institute of Chemistry.
In 1967 he graduated from the directing department of the Yerevan Institute of Theater and Art (workshop of V. Adzhemyan).
Since 1971 - director of the Yerevan Documentary Film Studio.
In 1982-1989. - artistic director of the documentary film production department for the documentary film series "Armenfilm".
Since 2003 - President of the Union of Cinematographers of Armenia.
In 2005-2009 - Chairman of the Council of the film studio "Armenfilm".
Since 2009 - artistic director of the Hayk Documentary Film Studio.
He taught filmmaking at the Yerevan Pedagogical Institute.
