Plot synopsis
Valentin Rasputin is a world famous writer. His works have been translated into 40 languages. He grew up in a small Siberian village on the banks of the Angara River. At the age of 10, little Valya left his native village to continue his studies. But all his life he continues to write about the people who lived there. In the film, the writer's contemporaries recall what he was like as a child. Famous directors, writers, residents of the city of Irkutsk discuss the relevance of his works in the modern world.
