The Tsar is going to marry his daughter Zabava to the charming and handsome Paul, a rich heir with foreign luster. But the princess wants to marry for love. Her unexpected acquaintance with the simple, but honest and charming sailor Ivan brings confusion to Paul's plans to get the crown. Ivan, in love with the princess, with the help of the inhabitants of the magical forest, builds a Flying Ship in order to fly away on it with his beloved.
