Actress Irina Terechenkova lives in the M. G. Savina Nursing Home for Former Stage Artists in St. Petersburg. More than 30 years ago, her theatrical career came to an abrupt end: at the age of 48, she left the Lensovet Theatre, where she had worked for almost a quarter of a century under the direction of Igor Vladimirov alongside Alissa Freindlich. Fate had many blows in store for her, but her love of life and her ability to never give up transformed the circumstances of her life in completely unexpected ways.
