Permafrost is a commonly used scientific term. It is soil frozen as a result of numerous ice ages. Two-thirds of Russia's territory is covered with it. But it turns out that "permafrost" does not mean "forever"... Our heroes, scientists, set off on dangerous and exciting expeditions to various corners of the Russian Arctic - from Yamal to Chukotka. They watch the permafrost melt, try to understand its laws, and preserve it. But in reality, they are asking themselves completely different questions: Is there really something eternal in nature? Is humanity capable of influencing it? And how can we all live in such a rapidly changing world?
