In the city of Mirny, in Yakutia, lies one of the largest quarries in the world. Once a bustling place where generations of workers came to mine diamonds in the heart of Siberia, it is now shut down. All that remains is a huge pit, a vast void that descends towards the centre of the earth and threatens to engulf the entire city.
