Plot synopsis
The story of the fate of an odious figure in Russian history - Lev Davidovich Trotsky. About the last months of the life of the famous revolutionary, politician, chairman of the Revolutionary Military Council of the Soviet republic. “Our film is an attempt to show the psychology of communism as an idea, the blinding of which turns people into ruthless killers. The idea burns everything human in the communists and for them there are no specific living people around, but there are only symbols of this idea - classes, the proletariat and the bourgeoisie, bloodsuckers landowners and unfortunate peasants ... One of the brightest representatives of the idea of ​​communism in the world was Leon Trotsky, on the whose birth took place in the October Revolution of 1917 in Russia. (Eduard Volodarsky). Work on the film lasted three years, filming took place in Russia, Mexico, USA, France, Austria, Turkey and Ukraine. One of the most expensive projects in Russian cinema.
