Plot synopsis
Romantic comedy.
One night in the courtyard of an elite house in the centre of Moscow there appears a cow. The animal is strange and beautiful but exhausted and can hardly walk. The first person to see her is Katia. She spots her at the moment of the greatest misfortune of her life. Her husband Vadim, whom she has loved for 50 years out of her 54, is leaving her. In order to survive Katia needs something to hold on to, somebody who will need her. So she gives refuge to the cow in her immense empty flat. Katia grows fond of the cow and comes to the conclusion that everybody has the right to decide for himself whom to love. But her family and those around her don’t share her point of view. It is amazing that the cow can prevent so many people from carrying out their plans and simply from living the way they like.
