Based on Boris Shergin's story "Mitia's Love".
The shipmaster Mitya set off from Arkhangelsk to the Solombalu Theatre. On the way, he was caught by the wind. A young girl passed by him, also carried away by the wind and as if flying in the air. Her name was Maria Ivanovna. Mitya helped her reach the theatre, and suddenly he fell in love with her. They had time to confess their love, but Maria Ivanovna disappeared. Mitya wondered what to do. He decided to travel all over the city to find her.
The film reproduces works by artists of the Russian avant-garde, such as Mikhail Larionov, Natalia Goncharova, and masters of naive art, such as Pavel Leonov and Lyubov Maykovaya.
