Two-part version of F.M. Dostoyevsky novel of the same title. Nikolay Stavrogin, nobleman and darling of women is involved into the hedge society by Peter Verkhovensky. The frustration of Stavrogin’s personality given to thesis «anything goes» and «the end justifies the means» is escapeless. This is a tragedy of the hero’s destiny.
