In the mid-90s Guerra wrote the script for two animated films by A. Khrzhanovsky, thus making his debut as an author in animation. These are the famous films "The White-Bearded Lion" and "A Long Journey". Animated cinema, where all possible fantasies come to life, seems to be Guerra's true territory. For the Italian master, turning towards Russia becomes a movement along the vertical of creation, a metaphor for the infinite possibilities of the imagination.
