The story centers on the history of the Trifonov family, a dynasty of workers who work in the local industrial enterprise. Volodya Trifonov is the head of the family, workaholic, winner of factory amateur art competitions, a kind man with a sense of humor.
Everything is going well until the youngest son Pashka falls in love with a woman from
the painting studio, who is much older than him and mother of three children...
The film's main location is the Kazan Helicopter Factory. Scenes were also filmed in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region.
