Milana and Gena are doing well: a child, a home, creative fulfillment... However, Milana does not believe in herself and connects her musical career with the fact that she is the wife of the people’s favorite “Uncle Gena,” who is constantly touring the country. After performing at a festival in one of the provincial cities, Milana’s father Albert Plekhov comes backstage. He is a director at a local theater, a rather eccentric, outdated, but very perky older man. For the last 20 years he has been trying to stage his musical “The Scarlet Flower”. The script, scenery, music - everything is thought out to the smallest detail. But the city doesn’t have the money for its ambitious production. Trying to find them on his own, he ends up in debt to dangerous people. His last hope is to turn to his daughter and her star husband. The only problem is that for Milana he is a complete stranger. And Albert needs to find an approach to his offended daughter, the harsh Gena, and draw, that is, involve them in his production.
