Aviator Innokenty Platonov is a student of aircraft designer Zhukovsky. Having been accused without evidence of the murder of the informer Zaretsky, Platonov ends up in the Solovetsky camp, where in 1929 he becomes an unwitting participant in a cryonics experiment. Almost a century later, in 2023, the outstanding scientist Konstantin Geiger manages to defrost it in a private laboratory near St. Petersburg. The miraculously surviving hero is trying to return to normal life, but great difficulties await him along this path. Previous connections are irretrievably lost, his lover and relatives have long since died, but the main thing that weighs on him is the unsolved murder of Zaretsky, of which he was accused. To unravel the mystery of this crime, Platonov needs to restore his memory. In this he is helped by the billionaire Zheltkov, as well as Geiger’s wife Nastya, a specialist in regressive psychiatry. She is constantly next to Innocent, and together, step by step, they restore his past. It seems to Platonov that Nastya is an absolute copy of his deceased lover. Mutual sympathy develops into feeling. Noticing this, Geiger is close to interrupting the experiment.
