Plot synopsis
About the gifted Russian scientist and nature reformer Ivan Michurin. Already at the end of XIX century rumors about extraordinary Michurin's experiments spread not only in Russia but also out of its borders. In spite of attractive offers to leave Russia, being fanatically obsessed by his work, he refused and kept working while overcoming his colleagues' disbelief, indifference of the authorities, lack of money, death of his son and his beloved wife. Only after the October Revolution Michurin’s inventions were made national property and the small Michurin’s garden was turned into a large arboretum.
