This is the story of a Siberian family, the Zavarzines, who for generations, like the other inhabitants of the village, have lived from beekeeping. But one day a virus appeared inexplicably in the hives. This was followed first by violent conflicts between neighbors over responsibilities and then the absence of bees forced the inhabitants of the village to leave to seek means of existence elsewhere. The different members of the Zavarzine family, initially united, have irremediably dispersed.
