Plot synopsis
A feature documentary epic film embraces the events of 1941-1945. On the historical background the film shows the life of Aleksey Ivanov, a steelmaker who volunteered for the war. All the most important events of the war are shown through Alexey’s personal participation: from the famous military parade held in November 1941 near the Kremlin walls to the planting down a standard on Reichstag in May 1945. In the final scene Stalin arrives in Berlin and people of many nationalities meet him enthusiastically, and Aleksey with Natasha whom he met on Victory Day are among them.
