A TV film (or a TV play, the difference here is only conventional) on the basis of Eugene Ionesco’s play “The Bald Soprano” written in 1950.
It was this play that founded the Theater of the Absurd and inspired Sergey Yurskiy to create his own script – not only for theatre stage but for the cinema as well.
He translated 2 Ionesco's plays, “The Bald Soprano” and “The Chairs”.
Experimental filming of the first one has been a long-standing dream of Sergey Yurskiy, and
after the first night in Moscow, Molodist film festival is very honored to present the result of that dream’s embodying in Kyiv.
