Erotic Comedy.
Valya, a sincere young woman lives in the Russian suburb of
Tallinn and escapes from her loneliness into food and 80’s
French Erotica. One night she discovers bedbug bites on the
intimate parts of her body which lead to a love experience
with an insect exterminator who comes to inspect her private
space.
The abrupt end of this long-awaited love affair and Valya’s
mounting insect phobia manifest in a singular sensation. As
Valya becomes more obsessed with her bedbug infestation
her doctor suspects she may be delusional and prescribes various
non-traditional psychological remedies…

Note Of Intent :
This film is my personal statement on the scientific explanation
of reality. It will explore scientific and pseudo-scientific
definitions of different bug species and their mating habits
compared with human behaviorism and the psychology of
love, obsession and delusion. Aesthetically the film will be
broken into chapters titled in Latin on the screen in order to
strengthten the parody on science.
The cast of two main characters, intentionally exaggerated
away from conventional cinematic reality is crucial to this film
in terms of their chemistry and absurdity, which fit my understanding
of life.
