Plot synopsis
English writer Jeremy Wilson finally gets an appointment with the first President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, to write his biography. However, the planned interview turns into a long and exciting journey for the journalist and the head of state, swept up in the history of this young independent country. They move from arid steppe to snowy mountains, from skyscrapers to yurts, from 2015 to 1950, 1989, 1986, 1991... The journalist becomes both a witness and an actor in the events that Nursultan Nazarbayev recalls. The next morning, the President completes his visit to Almaty, the former capital, and also his meeting with Wilson. The two men parted in the very room where Nursultan Nazarbayev was sworn in and accepted the office of independent Kazakhstan.
