Plot synopsis
Film about Soviet diplomats of the 1960s.
Diplomat and specialist on Germany Georgy Biryukov is guilty of wrongdoing towards the Motherland and has been transferred from the international department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the USSR to a small department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Now he works in a group of information analysts composed entirely of representatives of the golden youth who have had the chance to live abroad. These specialists must explain to Soviet diplomats the subtleties of the Western mentality that no professor from MGIMO (Moscow Institute of International Relations) will ever be able to tell them about.
