Journalist who has fallen out of favor, Igor Voevodin, is sent by the editor of the newspaper on a mission to a very distant place chosen at random from an electronic card. This place is the far eastern island of Rikotu, where Igor meets the small local community. At first, the members of this community seem to be ordinary extravagant provincials, but over time, Igor understands, that something strange is happening here, and that the inhabitants no longer remember what Moscow is, or even of what Russia is in general ...
