On December 7, 1988 a terrible earthquake occurred on almost half of the territory of Armenia. Several towns and more than 300 villages were destroyed. 25,000 people perished, 19,000 remained disabled, more than half a million were left homeless.
The story of the two heroes, 45-year-old Konstantin Berezhnoi and 20-year-old Robert Melkonian, unfolds against the backdrop of this disaster. They have already crossed paths a long time ago when Robert's parents were killed in a car accident by Berezhnoi's fault. Konstantin spent several years in prison, and relatives took Robert in. By a strange combination of circumstances on the day of the earthquake Berezhnoï returns to his family where his wife, his daughter, his son are waiting for him... and Robert returns who has not forgiven him for the death of his parents. And ironically, the two heroes find themselves in the same rescue team but do not recognize each other right away.
