Plot synopsis
Filmmaker Pavel Ruminov's first feature ushers in a new age in contemporary Russian horror films. His constantly moving camera prowls a dank and barren Moscow, the perfect backdrop for this spooky-as-hell ghost story. Three young women, murdered by their mother, return from the dead to take revenge. Anyone who comes in contact with these spirits and commits a sin within three days will suffer their wrath. With this in mind, five Muscovites attempt to remain without sin - though sometimes the greatest sin is inaction. Clearly inspired by the J-horror genre, Dead Daughters has secured a huge fan contingent worldwide and is already pegged for an American remake.
