The young actor Boris Olshansky after emigration
from St. Petersburg to America failed to find a professional
job as he could not even speak English. On
the Christmas Eve in an empty supermarket, where
Boris was cleaning floors and shop windows, he met
his fellow countryman Savely. The new acquaintance
suggested that he should play the victim of a staged
car crash and get a lot of insurance money. The setting
was to be the famous Broadway, any actor's
dream.
Alas! The well-planned operation went wrong, and
instead of a mock crash Boris managed to get
involved in a real accident and become a real victim
of a real American car crash.
