Plot synopsis
The diaries of the eighteen-year student from Baku provided the basis for the film. She lived in the USSR in the late eighties and as many her compatriots desperately tried to understand what was happening with her large great country. Why is it falling apart? Why do gunmen kill with impunity their citizen? Why is administrative dereliction observed? What for and why are children perished? Meetings of many thousands were held almost every day in Baku and people demanded the resignation of the local authorities. But Gorbachev brings troops into the city on the night of 20 January 1990 in the response to those demands. The heroine’s husband is perished. She was married only for 6 months and 18 days. She failed to endure sufferings and pain and committed suicide.
