Documentary feature film about how we create, strike and save the great Russian North, which forges a difficult but free life. The Russian North is part of a unique culture within Russian civilization. Its main characteristics were an original peasant way of life, a close-knit, very religious community. The specificity of the Russian North comes from its origins: it was founded by free people (when the rest of the country knew serfdom) subjected to a severe climate, far from any government interference. The hero of our film is a man from the North who has retained the features of the culture of the Russian North. His problem is survival, that is to say the maintenance of his being, his spirituality, his way of life.
