In the forests of picturesque Karelia there are two training bases for various sports societies. They are run by former athletes who in the past were figure skating partners. But after an accident, they got angry to death. Hostility has raged between these camps for many years, and residents are banned from frequenting their neighbors. The young Lekha, aged 15, a promising Saint Petersburg cyclist, arrives with his team (three faithful friends) in one of these camps; he immediately falls in love with Viola, a young girl from the other camp where she came to practice synchronized swimming. They are separated by a high palisade and membership in enemy camps. All of Lekha’s thoughts are occupied by Viola and his career is sinking. The two camps are plunged into a sentimental imbroglio. Will our young hero be able to dominate himself? Will teenagers be able to sort out their own feelings? Will their coaches manage to overcome their disagreements and recognize their mistakes?
