Born in 1967 in Alma-Ata.
Studied at the Novosibirsk Conservatory (musicology) and Tomsk Polytechnic University (management and economics).
In 1993, he graduated from LGITMiK (course of V.N. Karpov), receiving a degree in "television director". Worked in feature and documentary films, in advertising, on television.
