Photographer and filmmaker. He was born and raised in a village on the banks of the Peza River, in the north of the Arkhangelsk region (Russia). He currently lives and works in St. Petersburg. From 2006 to 2012, Igor studied painting and graphic design at an art school. He began photography that same year. From 2012 to 2016, he worked on the photo reportage and film "SEVERE," documenting life in the Russian Far North. Since 2016, Igor has focused on staged photography. His method, close to pre-digital cinema, uses images of real objects and places, large-scale models and objects integrated into the natural environment, pyrotechnic effects, light installations and optical illusions, as well as animal works.
