Born on August 1, 1971 in Moscow.
With her twin sister, Ksenia, participated in theater performances as a child. She starred in the films "Where Did He Go" and "The Redhead, an Honest Lover".
In 1988 she entered the directing faculty of the Russian Academy of Theater Arts (GITIS) in the class of Pyotr Fomenko. In 1993, after graduating from the Academy, she entered the troupe of the new theater "Pyotr Fomenko's Workshop".
She starred in films by Georgy Daniela, Nikolai Dostal, and others. In 1993, she and her sister Ksenia starred in Jean-Luc Godard's short story "Our Holy Russia". Polina played the role composed after the character of "Irina" in Chekhov's "Three Sisters".
Won the Best Actress Award at several festivals.
Honored Artist of Russia in 2004.
