(1971, Balingen, Germany). Studied at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and the Filmakademie Ludwigsburg. In 1999 he received the German Television Award and the Second Prize of Studio Hamburg for his graduation project «Barracuda Dancing». In 2002 he was awarded the Golden GrimmePreis for the film «Ende der Saison». His documentary drama «Dutschke» was honored with the Golden Gong Award.
