This is the story of a man who got lost in the war and found himself in Venice. A sniper turned photographer, and oddly enough, the sight of his rifle resembles the lens of a camera. Roman Tcherpak fled alone, at 14, the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, grew up in Israel, and now raises his two sons in Italy and Moscow, runs his own gallery in the center of Venice.
