Environmental activist Yulia Kolevatova devoted her life to saving the Izdreva River, a small river in the Novosibirsk region where she spent her childhood. As an adult, Yulia paid attention to the ecological problems of the river, the Izdreva River was dying at that time: its banks were buried under garbage and the birch trees around it were being cut down. She began to clean the river and its surroundings, for this she called on local youth and volunteers, organized the transportation of waste, and taught the local population to live in harmony with nature. When it was decided to build a waste processing plant and a landfill for hard waste near the river, Yulia and the locals actively opposed it, and eventually the construction was stopped and the site of the landfill was revised. A protected natural area was created in the Izdreva Valley. The film is about man's relationship with nature, love for his small homeland and determination to fight for it.
