The film tells the story of the fate of the composer, pianist, conductor and teacher Vsevolod Zaderatsky (1891-1953). His name and music are only beginning to be known today. A musical mentor to Tsarevich Alexei, he took part in the First World War and was an officer in Denikin's volunteer army. In 1937, he was sentenced and sent to the Kolyma camp.
