Plot synopsis

The screening in partnership with Maison de la science et la cult ure de Russie à ParisThe presenter and author of the film leaves for Kunachir, one of the islands of the Kuril archipelago. Here, in the east of Russia, she meets incredibly beautiful, strong-minded people who know how to find the good in life: a biologist who has devoted 18 years of his life to studying the nature of the Kuril Islands, as well as an old woman who attends Japanese classes, and courageous sailors who have chosen one of the most difficult professions but are staying afloat. On the agenda is a climb to the Tiatia volcano and a swim in the Sea of ​​Okhotsk, a meeting with whales and a hike to the Kipyashcheye and Goryatcheye lakes.
