In the Central African Republic (CAR) there are Russian instructors who train the army of this country at the request of the Central African government. Russia sends several hundred soldiers and heavy weapons to the CAR to support the government. Newcomers land on the base, among them a 27-year-old former policeman, Gricha Dmitriev. Meanwhile, the situation in the republic is worsening on the eve of the presidential and legislative elections. Former President François Bozizé, who is not authorized to be a candidate, is mobilizing armed groups. A number of rebel groups are joining forces against the government in place with the aim of overthrowing the power.
