Plot synopsis
A film about the discovery of a new name in Russian art, the painter Konstantin Kuznetsov.
Konstantin Kuznetsov (1863-1936) was virtually unknown in Russia. Born into a wealthy merchant family from Nizhny Novgorod, he decided at the age of 30 that he would become a painter, in 1896 he left for Paris and never returned to his homeland, although he did not change his nationality until the end. Kuznetsov participated in all the important exhibitions. Art critics followed the emergence and development of his work, appreciating his impressionistic manner, his sense of color, his sensitivity. They found in him "a delicate talent", "lyricism", "a special taste and balance in nuances", "natural majesty", "beauty without delving into details", "great mastery of his art".
