Plot synopsis
Khrushchev thaw. A young poet Rami
Garipov returns with his family to Ufa,
having received his degree at the
Moscow Literary Institute. Senior
colleagues have high hopes for him, but
the unsettled life and the work rush
deprive the poet of strength. The loss in
the family becomes a big test for them.
Rami convinces his wife to return with
him to his native village in order to make
a decision what to do next.
